Plate 1 shows the wind flow over the courtyard. Pressure coefficients are mainly low positive on the windward exterior elevation and low to medium negative in the courtyard.
Plate 2 indicates the air movement inside the courtyard. The patterns imply a combination of a downdraught of the wind passing over the courtyard and the flow through the staircase opening. Figure 1 illustrates this effect.
